Oscar’s Dribbling Destroys A Linesman In His Shanghai SIPG Competitive Debut

Oscar made his competitive debut for Shanghai SIPG in the Asian Champions League and did exactly what you’d expect from a man who cost £60 million and was up against Thailand’s seventh best team.

He scored a goal, and SIPG, managed by Andre Villas-Boas and with players like Ricardo Carvalho, Hulk and Elkeson, defeated Sukhothai FC 3-0 to advance to the group stage.

But the highlight from the Brazilian, who's on a £500,000 per week salary, was some twisting and turning near the corner flag that sent the linesman sprawling. It’s a whole new ball game for linesman in China with Oscar out there. The two defenders from the Thai club must also be wondering how it has ever come to this.

Here’s the goal Oscar scored against the Fire Bats of Sukhothai.

SIPG will compete in Group F in the 2017 Asian Champions League alongside South Korea’s FC Seoul, Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds and Australia’s Western Sydney Wanderers.
