N'Golo Kante Named FA Player Of The Year By The Football Writers' Association

N'Golo Kante is the best player in England. So say the Professional Footballers' Association, and now the Football Writers' Association.

Last season, Kante's Leicester City teammates Riyan Mahrez and Jamie Vardy split the awards. This season, with Chelsea, Kante has reminded everyone who the real engine of that Leicester City team was.

Kante's PFA win was announced in April, and his FWA win was announced on Monday.

You know the joke about water covering 75 percent of Earth and N'Golo Kante covering the rest of it. If by chance there is some room left that is not covered by either an ocean or a French international central midfielder who plays for Chelsea, it is surely being filled up with Kante's trophies.

Kante's teammate Eden Hazard finished second in the voting. Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli finished third. In all, 17 players received votes: Kante, Hazard, Alli, Sergio Aguero, Toby Alderweireld, Diego Costa, David Luiz, Cesar Azpilicueta, Jermain Defoe, Ben Foster, Philippe Coutinho, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Harry Kane and Anthony Knockaert.
