Match Abandoned After Drone Carrying Flag Sparks Fight (WATCH)

A couple weeks ago we talked about the crazy in-match atmospheres at several Champions League games where stadium seating was broken and flares were thrown onto the pitch. But today’s Serbia versus Albania Euro 206 qualifier may have taken the cake for outrageous fan interference.

Not only was the game already halted due to flares being thrown onto field, but then a drone entered the stadium carrying the Albanian flag. A Serbian player then grabbed the flag, sparking a tussle between the two teams. Albanian players were subjected to garbage being thrown at them as they left the pitch and Albanian fans were also banned from the stadium due to security concerns.

The UEFA website reported on their website that the match was going to be abandoned due to the circumstances.

The fight starts around 1:35, but the broadcast then decided to be lame and turn to a full view of the pitch.
