This discovery led Jones to watch soccer all day Sunday and live-tweet the MLS playoffs. She learned about different hot players, hot coaches, hot refs, the finer points of defense, how soccer compares to basketball (which Jones played in college) and football, contemplated which team to root for and found out about Tim Howard.
