Celebrate Australia Day By Watching 3 Screamers From 3 Aussie Legends

Tim Cahill, Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell have combined for 193 appearances for Australia and 76 goals (Cahill, 37, is still going). All three played a vital role in securing Australia’s 2006 World Cup appearance, their first since 1974, with a dramatic playoff victory over Uruguay

The three then combined to lift Australia into the round of 16 — the first time Australia had ever achieved such a feat — before a contentious penalty in the 95th minute sent the Socceroos out against eventual champions Italy.

Each played a massive role in fueling Australia’s newfound love for the sport as quasi-ambassadors of the game. They all found huge success in the English Premier League and had a knack for scoring memorable goals.

Here are three of the best goals from the legendary Aussie trio.

Tim Cahill for Australia vs. Netherlands at 2014 World Cup

Mark Viduka for Middlesbrough vs. Birmingham City in 2005-06 Premier League

Harry Kewell for Leeds United vs. Aston Villa in 1999-00 Premier League
