Panama Defeats Mexico In Beach Soccer Championship With Array Of Absurd Goals

Panama were the surprise winners of the 2017 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship after defeating three-time champions Mexico 4-2 in the final. With the scores level at 2-2, Panama proceeded to score two unanswered goals to secure their first ever championship.

Mexico scored the first, but Panama responded with their goalkeeper hurling one down the beach for an attacker to side volley home.

With Panama leading 2-1, Mexico equalized with a sensational overhead kick.

 

Panama then took a 3-2 lead with this audacious lob.

And then the dagger: goalkeeper goes deep with the throw, attacker attempts to scissor volley it but its ultimately the Mexico defender who sends an unstoppable header into the corner because beach soccer.

As finalists, both Panama and Mexico have qualified for the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, which will take place from April 27 - May 7 in the Bahamas.
