Barcelona Star’s Twitter Account Hacked, Leading To A Frenzy Of Real Madrid Fanboying

Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan drew the ire of Blaugrana supporters by liking and retweeting photos celebrating Real Madrid’s 11 European Cup wins. The Turkish international then clarified that his “account was hacked for a brief period”, resulting in this outpouring of love for all things Los Blancos.

Turan has not had the easiest time of it since transferring to Barca in July of 2015. Due to Barcelona’s transfer ban, Turan was not able to appear in a competitive match for the club until January 6th, 2016. His eagerly anticipated debut for the club was followed by a relatively quiet half season — he scored two goals and tallied four assists in 25 matches across all competitions.

Having paid €34 million, plus €7 million in variables, to ply Turan away from Atletico Madrid, Barca supporters are expecting big things from the attacking midfielder this year.

However, watching Turan “like” photos praising their biggest rivals didn’t set will with fans.

This is a timely reminder on password strength. Arda, you should never settle for something simple like ‘Real’. Make sure it’s 12 to 14 characters, along with some numbers and symbols if permitted. ‘RealMarid-11’ — now that’s a good password for you.
