This Assist Is Straight Out Of Shaolin Soccer

Have you guys ever seen Shaolin soccer? Imagine kung fu and soccer had a baby and taught it how to break dance. Actually on second thought, don’t imagine, just watch.

Yeah, the whole movie is like that. Awesome right? And now we have the pleasure of telling you that we have found the closest thing to a real life equivalent of Shaolin Soccer. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it comes from Japan.

That was Masaki Chugo of Tokyo Verdy assisting his teammate Alan Pineiro during his club's 1-1 draw with Cerezo Osaka in the J2 League. That’s the Japanese second division for those wondering.

Extrapolating from this video, our only realistic conclusion is that the 1st division has attained some kind of soccer enlightenment, and Shaolin Soccer is actually a gross underrepresentation of what’s possible in the J-League.
