We all live for Derby day. It’s the time of year that soccer truly starts to take on more meaning than “just a game.” Real passion comes out, and both the home and away fixtures mean so much for so many different people. This is universal throughout league soccer; it doesn’t matter if you are a fan of English, Spanish, or, in this case, Danish soccer.
F.C. Copenhagen’s YouTube channel has released a fantastic video that sharply captures the aura that surrounds their match against Brondby, also known as the Copenhagen Derby.
It’s all here: views of the players as they enter a stadium frenzied with anticipation, chants from the crowd, smokey views of fans synchonously waving flares, dramatic goals, and explosions of celebration. F.C. Copenhagen emerge victorious, but as cheesy as it is to say, this video makes us all winners.
