Have you ever had one of those situations where you just wish the earth would open up and swallow you whole? Well, Argentine midfielder Daniel Imperiale just had one of those moments after what is probably the worst soccer miss in history.
Ouch. That's rough man. To be fair, upon several viewings of the video, the ball does seem to take an odd bounce as he's about to swing at it, but he doesn't even get a piece of it. We'd call this the worst soccer miss of all time, but can it even be called the worst soccer miss if he never struck the ball in the first place? It's more like the biggest whiff in history.

It's probably no surprise to anyone after watching this video that Imperiale is right-footed. Luckily for him, his team Quilmes ended up winning the game 2-1, which spared some of his blushes. However, having only joined the club in January, Imperiale is not exactly doing his career any favors with moments like that. Let's hope his manager is more forgiving than the internet.
