Oribe Peralta And Rodolfo Pizarro Will Miss The Rest Of The Olympics

Mexico beat Fiji 5-1 Sunday in the Olympics, but it wasn't all good for El Tri. Striker Oribe Peralta and midfielder Rodolfo Pizarro have been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. Peralta, who scored Mexico's first goal in the opener against Germany, suffered a broken nose and Pizarro, who scored the other goal in the opener against Germany, has a fractured fibula.

Peralta and Pizarro will be replaced by Raul "Dedos" Lopez and Carlos Fierro. Fierro has only played 18 league minutes this season for Queretaro, but he is an experienced Mexico youth international and should be fine. Lopez jshould also be fine, as he joins a squad with several other Pachuca players in Rio.

Mexico's next match is against South Korea on Wednesday, and Mexico need to win to guarantee safe passage to the knockout round.
